Parents
“It Takes a Whole Village to Raise a Child”.
Proverb
The support and involvement of parents in schools is vital and paramount to a child’s education. Studies reveal that “schools with high level of parental and community involvement have better student results, attendance and behavior. If a school and parents work together on the education of a child, there’s a circle of interest and care that the child appreciates.”
At St. Mary’s Primary School, we see our parents as their children’s first and most important teacher, as well as consider parents our partners in their child’s education. Together, it is our goal to create a faith-filled community where all students feel the sense of belonging and that they are truly supported and cared about.
Our school’s mission is to provide a quality and well balanced education, in which each student is given the opportunity to reach his or her full potential academically, spiritually, socially and developmentally. In order to achieve this awesome task, together, we can provide our children with the best Catholic education possible and truly make a difference in the lives of our children.
We offer parents many different ways to be involved in our school. Every parent is automatically a member of our Parents for Student Life Organization, and we welcome and encourage parent participation in all school events and activities. While we recognize that your time is at a premium, the fact remains that a high level of parent involvement ensures that St. Mary’s Primary School will continue to be a strong and vibrant learning community, where children will feel supported both in school and at home.
